After 30 years as an oculofacial plastic surgeon, I realized that true transformation starts from within. While I helped patients achieve natural, authentic results, many were chasing unattainable ideals—struggling with aging, self-acceptance, or trying to look like someone else; it became clear that they were seeking external solutions to internal challenges. My message has always been the same: strive to be the best version of yourself, not a copy of someone else.
This realization led me to transition from aesthetics to life coaching, where I now focus on guiding clients toward self-love, joy, and a deeper sense of purpose. Together, we explore true desires, identify limiting beliefs, and transform old patterns to create lasting change.
My coaching approach centers on emotional wellness, physical health, spirituality, creativity, communication, and reigniting a sense of fun. My mission is to help clients improve their lifestyle, live authentically, and regain a sense of peace.

My Journey
My medical career began as a student at New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine in 1983, where I developed a passion for vision enhancement. This led me to become Chief Resident in Ophthalmology at NYU Langone Health, and later to incorporate advanced laser vision correction treatments such as PRK and LASIK into my private practice.
Following a prestigious fellowship with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, I co-founded Chelsea Eye and Cosmetic Surgery Associates in 1993. Our practice became a leader in refractive surgery and aesthetic procedures, and I transitioned to focus on minimally invasive treatments like facial fillers, toxins, and lasers. Throughout my career, I was deeply involved in physician education, clinical trials, and media appearances, always emphasizing natural, balanced results.
During the height of the AIDS crisis, I worked with male patients suffering from facial lipoatrophy, a side effect of antiviral drugs that often caused stigmatization. Partnering with pharmaceutical companies, I helped develop injection techniques and protocols for Sculptra and Radiesse, FDA-approved treatments to restore the appearance and confidence of these men and women. This work established me as a global expert in facial injections.
As the demand for aesthetic procedures grew, I realized many clients were seeking external changes to address deeper emotional or psychological needs. My consistent advice: strive to be the best version of yourself, not a copy of someone else.My Approach
The pandemic brought a shift in my focus. Reflecting on the mental health crisis, my own experiences, and my passion for holistic wellness, I pivoted from aesthetics to Life Coaching. I now integrate my medical experience with certifications in Antiaging and Functional Medicine (A4M) and training in Addiction Medicine. Soon, I will also be certified by the Health Coach Institute.
In my coaching practice, I emphasize six key areas of wellness: Emotional Wellness, Physical Health, Spirituality, Creativity, Communication, and Reigniting a Sense of Fun. My mission is to help clients overcome burnout, resolve anxiety, change addictive behaviors, and rediscover joy in their lives.Addressing the Crisis of Loneliness
We are facing a crisis of loneliness, and many people are struggling to build meaningful connections. My 28-year intimate relationship with my partner Eric has taught me the importance of communication, even when it’s difficult, and how to nurture creativity and passion over the long term. This experience positions me to help clients understand and thrive in long-term relationships, restore connection, and reignite passion. I also create a safe, supportive environment for couples who seek guidance to live their best lives together.Areas of Specialization

What to Expect
Through personalized coaching, I’ll help you uncover what you truly want from life, identify limiting beliefs, and transform old habits. Together, we’ll work to create lasting change by fostering self-love and empowering you to live authentically.A Little About Me
I bring 62 years of life experience to every coaching encounter. I’m the son of two physicians who emigrated from Tel Aviv, and having lived through the AIDS epidemic and the tragedy of 9/11, I’ve faced my own challenges, including chronic pain from bilateral shoulder arthritis and subsequent total shoulder replacements. These experiences have shaped my trauma-informed coaching style and my sensitivity to emotional regulation challenges.
When I’m not coaching, you can find me enjoying the beach with my Vizsla puppy, kayaking, playing the piano, going to the theater, or spending time with Eric, my partner of 28 years. I also love interior design, architecture, yoga, meditation, and healthful cooking.Let’s Work Together
I believe that living a peaceful, fulfilling life begins with self-love and acceptance—values that can be particularly challenging for members of the gay community. I’ve had the privilege of coaching clients from this community, helping them overcome issues of addiction and self-harm to grow in healthy, empowered ways.
If you’re ready to prevent burnout, embrace self-care, and live the life of your dreams, I’d love to guide you on your journey.— Joe Eviatar
